Yoga and Meditation
through the Niyamas

with Skanda

The Niyamas, the second limb of the Eight-Limbed Path, are the daily practices that allow us to move towards a space of peace and harmony. We let go of the reactivity of the ego and find balance in our lives internally and externally. Our whole being - mentally, physically and emotionally - feels “enlightened” as we move deeper into these daily practices. These discipines include purity, contentment, discipline, self study and surrender/ devotion. This series will explore each niyama individually through asana, mantra, pranayama, meditation and some journaling, and will provide opportunities to look within ourselves at where these daily practices come more easily and where our inner work lies - so that we may create a deeper sense of wholeness and well being. Both experienced practitioners and beginners are invited.

Five week series: Mondays, starts June 3; from 6-7:15 p.m. - $70 ($60 by May 24; drop-ins welcome)

Following The Thread of Shakti:
The Path to Everyday Bliss
with Swami Jaya Devi Bhagavati, RYT 500
The thread of shakti does not exist in the past or the future; it is only in the present moment. It is the shakti of the whole universe, but you learn to find the thread that is uniquely you. You learn to listen to the full expression of the self. To find the thread of shakti, you must learn deep inner listening, so you begin to hear the rhythm of the universe, the rhythm of your heart, the rhythm of your life. You learn to listen for the next right thing to do and to make choices from this sacred space. Whether your heart is overflowing or your heart is breaking, this connection is what makes you aware of the ongoing presence of joy. It allows you to feel that thread of love that runs through everything.  READ MORE>
