Since 1992, Swami Jaya Devi has taught yoga extensively and to a wide range of audiences - from international interfaith conferences, corporations and hospitals to meditation centers and yoga studios. The author of the Classical Yoga Teachers Training Manual, Swami Jaya Devi initiated the first Immune Yoga for AIDS and HIV in the Southeast, and founded Kashi Atlanta’s Street Meals program. Her well-rounded classical style is approachable while still maintaining the great depth of an authentic practice. Throughout her teachings, Swami Jaya Devi emphasizes personal depth, compassion, awareness and open-heartedness.

Jaya Das, E-RYT 200 started practicing yoga, mantra and meditation in 1999 with Swami Jaya Devi searching for a way to heal his voice after too many years in a punk rock band. He graduated from the first Kashi Classical Yoga Teacher's training in 2004, and is working towards obtaining his 500 hour Yoga Alliance certification this year.  Jaya Das is also on the Kashi Atlanta Board of Directors and a Kashi resident. In addition to teaching yoga and meditation classes, she coordinates the Kashi Atlanta Yoga Teacher Training, offers private instruction and teaches a variety of workshops including Yoga Boot Camp, Arm Balances & Inversions, and Meditation and Pranayama, as well as workshops to refine teaching techniques. Agni Ma is working towards obtaining her 500 hour Yoga Alliance certification this year.  She is also a member of the Board of Directors and resides at Kashi Atlanta Ashram. Kim Candika Alford, E-RYT 200, began some serious flirting with the practices of yoga in the early 90's when she was a teenager. After finding her teachers, Swami Jaya Devi and Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati, she embraced the community at Kashi Atlanta in 1998 and deepened her study of yoga and meditation. After completing their first 200 hour teacher training in 2003, she began teaching right away. For many years Kim struggled with chronic pain, which lead her to discover the deeper healing practices of yoga. Her life has been transformed and she feels she can face challenges with grace because of her broad spectrum of yoga practices (asana, pranayama, mantra and meditation.) She's also studied Anusara Yoga® with Gina Minyard, completing the Anusara Immersions with Gina and Part I Teacher Training with Christina Sell. The Anusara methodology and therapeutics have created a platform from which Kim has advanced her physical practice and teaching techniques. In addition to teaching classes, she co-teaches the Kashi Atlanta Yoga Teacher Training, offers private instruction and teaches a variety of workshops including Partner Yoga, Yoga for Chronic Pain and workshops for new yoga teachers who want to refine their teaching strategies. With absolute gratitude for being able to serve others, Kim is passionate about helping practitioners uncover freedom, creativity and courage in their own practices, in both body and mind. Kim is also an accomplished Art Director/Graphic Designer, working with her clients to create solid branding and design for their businesses.
