Best Rejuvenation for Your Body, Mind and Spirit:
Kashi Atlanta

Ten Day Yoga Detox

(From Creative Loafing:) It goes without saying that Kashi Atlanta’s 10-DAY YOGA DETOX isn’t, um, a cakewalk. No sugar, no caffeine, no alcohol and a three-day juice fast could lead many to believe it’s more of an exercise in masochism. But the mutual support and gentle guidance provided at this friendly spiritual community in Candler Park makes the carefully constructed rejuvenation program more like a fun and rewarding quest. The detox, which is based on Ayurvedic health principles, includes a rigorous schedule of unusual potions, breathing exercises and yoga classes. It’ll leave you with less weight, more energy and a new sense of balance. And, compared to fancy spa retreats, it’s a deal at $200.

Best of Atlanta

Kashi Wins
Best Yoga!

Atlanta magazine’s 2008 Reader’s Choice Best of Atlanta awards voted Kashi Atlanta the Best Yoga in the city.

"Workout for Your Body and Soul - While we highly recommend the yoga classes at this Candler Park ashram (especially the Saturday morning session led by spiritual leader Jaya Devi), you don't have to be able to tie yourself into a pretzel to have a transcendental experience. Kashi also offers community service programs in which participantsprepare and serve meals to the homeless, coordinate art projects for children's hospitals, and care for the critically ill."

Course begins: February 2012
Our eighth Classical Yoga Teacher Training begins this February. Each weekend, students will delve into the physical, energetic, and spiritual practices of asana, breathwork, and meditation.  They will learn to calm the mind and discipline the senses through the ancient practices of meditation. read more>

KNY 500 Hour Tantric Practice
with Agni Ma & Skanda

Kali Natha Yoga Tantric 500 hr practice is for students enrolled in the Kali Natha Yoga Teachers Training Course at the 500 hour level. We will begin each session focusing on a different tantric Kali Natha Yoga asana series developed by Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati. This series is designed to wring out any suffering and bring in the essence of purity that comes from the practices of tapas or disciplines. Sunday, February 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. $15 ($10 by February 12)

The Art of Savasana
with Devaki Comerford, RYT

This workshop will focus on aligning and supporting the body to maximize comfort and explore the depths of deep relaxation. We will cover three variations of Savasana. During this practice we will use yoga nidra, mantra and pratyahara to explore a calmer state of being where we can relax and rejuvenate. The season of winter is focused on turning inward. As animals hibernate and flowers die in order to prepare themselves for awakening in spring, we too need to allow time for ourselves to experience stillness and silenceso that we may heal and rejuvenate. Restorative Yoga stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system by conscious manipulation of the body. By changing our bodies and placing them in postures where we can relax and let go, we start to calm the nervous system, letting go of stress and bringing balance and harmony to the body.
Sunday, February 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. $25 ($20 by February 4)

The Dance of Prana: Three Week Series
