Thomas Ashley- Ferrand
invokes the Divine through Mantra

We were blessed to have Thomas Ashley- Ferrand, also known as Nama Deva, offer a workshop on June 27-29, 2008. The workshop began with a short discussion of the power of mantra and puja (moving prayer) to invoke the Divine. Nama Deva then led participants in a puja to Laxsmi, the Goddess of Prosperity, during which we called forth the 1008 forms, or aspects, of Laxsmi. Saturday and Sunday Nama Deva masterfully interwove stories of the Divine and then led us in mantra practice to call forth those deities.

The weekend focused on using mantra to heal ourselves and others, along with stories of the Gurus and their mystical amazing work. The weekend ended with kirtan led by Nama Deva and Kashi Atlanta Kirtan Wala Ganesh Giri. We cannot wait for him to return next year!
